The Ruffwear Hitch Hiker™ Dog Backpack Carrier gives your dog a place to ride when they need a break on the trail. It’s designed for outings where your dog walks part of the way and you carry them for stretches, whether they’ve tired before you or need a little help getting back.

The carrier opens wide for loading. Inside, the integrated harness and cinch straps help hold your dog close as they ride facing forwards, so they can see the route ahead. Mesh at the base lets air circulate around them. For the person carrying the pack, padded shoulder straps, an adjustable torso and a supportive hip belt help spread the load.

It’s a practical option for sharing a longer walk at your dog’s pace. Keep the things you reach for often in the hip belt pockets and use the stretch pocket for a bowl or a light layer.
