Ruffwear Beacon™ Safety Light for Dogs

The Beacon is a rechargeable safety light that makes your dog visible in low-light conditions and inclement weather through a translucent polycarbonate shell that glows from all directions. Unlike clip-on lights that emit light in one direction, the Beacon's full-body glow design ensures visibility from every angle, critical for evening walks or trail running in fading light.

The Quick Clip™ attachment connects to any Ruffwear collar, harness, or apparel light loop, and also works with most standard dog gear. This compatibility matters if you already own Ruffwear products or plan to mix-and-match equipment without buying a proprietary ecosystem.

Light Modes and Battery

Choose from three LED colors and three light modes: Slow Flash, Fast Flash, or Always On. The 280mAh lithium polymer battery runs up to 20 hours per charge, though actual runtime depends on which mode you select—Always On consumes power faster than flashing modes. The battery recharges in approximately 1.5 hours via the included standard USB charging cord (15 cm), and status indicator lights show charging progress and low-battery warnings.

Durability

The Beacon is waterproof to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes, adequate for rain and puddle splashing during normal walks but not designed for swimming or submersion beyond that depth. The body is polycarbonate with a stainless steel gate, built to withstand the wear of daily use and collar rubbing.
